The Society was formed in 1948 and is now in its 70th year.  We moved to our present site in Heath Park, Cardiff, in 1987.  A new Clubhouse was built in 2010 and opened by Dr Pete Waterman who is now our Club President.
The OO section has a large layout in the later stages of construction which is on permanent display in the Clubhouse and two other layouts.  One is a small layout based on a Colonel Stephens light railway and the other is an historical layout, “Hardwick Grange”, built by the late Frank Dyer.  Both are available for exhibition.  The OO section meets on Monday evenings at the Clubhouse and contributes to the general work of the Society on Saturdays.
The Society’s site contains a garden railway with fuel operated locomotives on 32mm and 45mm gauge tracks, an 18” gauge tramway with two passenger carrying electric trams, and passenger carrying live steam tracks in 3.5”, 5”, and 7.25” gauges.  During the winter period there are talks and demonstrations on topics to suite all Society members whilst in the summer the site is open to the public on selected days.  During these public open days the permanent OO layout is fully operational.
Besides the OO layout, the Clubhouse has an engineering workshop, catering facilities, lecture room, and library/meeting room.  New members are welcome and invited to take part in all Society activities.
Visitors are welcome at the Society’s site on Saturdays, and on Monday evenings for those interested in OO gauge modelling.

Our Club meets at the Community Centre, Berrow Road, Burnham on Sea on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 19.00 to 22.00 hrs. We currently have about 20 members and are building layouts in N, OO,

We continue to hold our Open Day in May, the Annual Exhibition "Sedgemoor Rail" August Bank Holiday weekend and our one day
Show at the end of the year. We have also commissioned a number
of limited edition wagons, 3 last year that sold out, and hope to have 7
